Electricity supply in Dormaa Ahenkro over the last two weeks has gone through a series of power fluctuations which has caused a lot of casualties to businesses in Dormaa Ahenkro and its surrounding communities.
Reacting to this, some business owners have bared teeth on the leadership of the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo and VRA) for the inconsistencies in the discharge of their mandate.
Some Residents who use electricity for their businesses complain of continuous damage to their electrical gadgets as a result of the recent power fluctuations stressing how they run loss in their operations in recent times.
Responding to the plea of the people, Mr Eric Ofori, the Bono regional Engineer of VRA/NEDCo explained that they had some challenges some 2 years ago that led to a complete breakdown of some of their machines in the control room in the Berekum substation which led to the connection of Dormaa Ahenkro electricity stripe to Mim substation.
He added that the problem is now resolved hence they are trying to reconnect us to the Berekum Substation, therefore, issues of power fluctuations in Dormaa Ahenkro and its environs will soon be resolved.
