Chief Executive Officer (ECO) for Consumer Protection Agency (CPA), Kofi Kapito has warned the general public to be vigilant in buying items as we are heading towards Christmas.
According to him, it is very necessary for consumers to check when purchasing goods from the market.
In a statement signed by the CEO, Kofi Kapito advised consumers to look out for when purchasing especially canned foods, locally made or imported goods.
The statement outlined some precautionary measures for Ghanaians to check the expiry date on the product, Country of origin, ingredients by the product, bloated can, rusted and many other things that can have a negative impact on them.
The statement further advised that there would be a cheap price to clear some products hence Ghanaians should avoid items of low price.
