Owner and bankroller of King Faisal, Alhaji Grusah has expressed joy after the cancellation of the Ghana Premier League, saying he is a winner after escaping relegation.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) not long ago annulled the Ghana football season due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic that wrecked the world.
Before the cancellation, the President of the Kumasi based club clamoured for the truncation of the season as he saw it as unsafe for football to resume.
Speaking after the 26th ordinary congress of the Ghana FA, he said, “I will thank God. The advantage has come so I have grabbed”
“I was the only person who campaigned for the cancellation of the season due to coronavirus outbreak. To God be the glory, we have stopped. I am a winner because I have escaped relegation” he said.
King Faisal after 14 games was at the bottom of the league table with 6 points.
