President Akufo -Addo has lost the fight against corruption, according to former President John Dramani Mahama.
Speaking at the grand durbar as part of activities to mark the Asogli Yam Festival in Ho, Mr Mahama said the NPP government has completely lost control of the fight against corruption.
“The NPP government has completely lost control of the fight against corruption. President Akufo-Addo in his inaugural address promised to protect the purse. Today, that public purse cannot be found. Revelations in the Auditor General report for 2021 are only a microcosm of the seeming institutionalization of corruption under this administration.”
The Akufo-Addo-led government has received several criticisms on the increasing rate of corruption cases with not much done to avert the canker.
