A 28-year-old Mason, Logo Philip has been sentenced to 12 months imprisonment in hard labor by the Asamankese Circuit Court presided over by His Honour Abass Abubakari Adams for stealing and unlawful entry.
According to the prosecution statement, Logo Philip, on 30/10/2021 at Asuokaw near Asamankese unlawfully entered a warehouse of one Issifu Adamu with intent to commit a crime therein to with stealing.
Also, on 26th and 30th October in Asuokaw, the accused dishonestly appreciated ¢200 pieces of cement blocks valued at ¢600 and Hyundai and Rhino car parts valued at ¢5,000 respectively, and all to the total sum of ¢5,600.00, property of Issifu Adamu.
The prosecution said the accused works with Issifu Adamu, the complainant who owns the “Still Don’t Rush block factory” at Asuokaw.
The complainant detected theft on 04/11/2021 at about 2:00pm at his block factory and the warehouse and upon Interrogation; he got to know that it was the accused who stole the missing items.
A report was made to the police for further investigation and the accused was charged for the offenses and sent to court for prosecution.
