The suspect arrested in connection with the murder of a Fulani herdsman at Afram Plains has been remanded into Police Custody by Mpraeso Circuit Court presided by His Honour Stephen Kumi to reappear before the court on January 4, 2020.
The suspect will be put before Donkorkrom Magistrate Court upon request by the Prosecution for committal trial.
25-year-old Fulani herdsman was killed in cold blood while in a room with his wife at Maame Krobo Zongo community in Afram Plains South District of the Eastern Region.
The wife identified as Hawa sustained a cutlass injury in the palm in an attempt to save his husband.
According to the Tease Police, it received information that Mohammed Rabor now deceased has been killed in his room.
Police proceeded to the scene and found him dead in a pool of blood.
The injured wife was rushed to Presbyterian Hospital in Donkorkrom before the arrival of police.
The assailant -Ibrahim Aliu went into hiding in the bush but was trailed by the police upon intelligence and subsequently.
The acting Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, Sargeant Francis Gomado said the suspect will be put before court for Prosecution but in the meantime assisting Tease Police command to investigate the incident.
