Fifteen (15) more persons have succumbed to the Covid-19 virus in Ghana increasing the death toll to 405.
35 patients are in critical condition while 98 are severely ill.
Meanwhile, 797 new cases have been recorded on January 26, 2021, according to the latest update by Ghana Health Service. This is the highest new case ever recorded in a single day since the second wave of the virus.
This has pushed the country’s active cases to 4,665.
Eastern Regional active Case count is now 134.
The Ghana Medical Association has expressed worry over the high rate of spread and death by the second wave of the virus and has recommended to the government for the recomposition of restrictions on public gatherings to help curb the situation.
