Twenty-six out of Thirty-three Municipal and District Assemblies Which recorded COVID-19 cases in the Eastern Region have been set free, according to a Regional Health Directorate report.
The report which covers cases, recoveries, and deaths from 12th March to 20th September indicated that there are 17 Active cases in Seven Municipal and District Assemblies with 32 deaths.
Those with cases are; Abuakwa South – 4 cases, Birim North- six cases, Kwahu West -2 cases, Nsawam/Adoagyiri – 2 cases, New Juaben, South and Yilo Krobo have one each case.
According to the report, New Juaben South recorded 15 deaths, Denkyembour District recorded four deaths, New Juaben North – 3, Akuapim North – 2 deaths, and Atiwa West, Abuakwa South, Kwahu West, Fanteakwa North, and Lower Manya Krobo recorded one death each respectively.
Cases recorded under the period were 2,404 and the number of persons Recovered and discharged is 2,352.
The total healthcare workers who were contacted is 768 and Cumulative confirmed cases (healthcare workers) was 612 (25.5%)
Cumulative recoveries among Health workers are 601 (98.2%) and the Cumulative deaths of healthcare workers are three.
