A total of 36 Covid-19 patients are in critical conditions battling for their lives at various treatment centers in the country while 98 are severely ill.
Meanwhile, six (6) additional deaths have been recorded increasing the country’s death toll to 358 as of January 16, 2020.
The Ghana Health Services lastest update on Tuesday night of January 19, 2020, also indicated that 366 new cases have been recorded pushing the active cases to 2,174
In all, Ghana’s total confirmed cases are 58,431 out of which 55,899 have recovered or discharged.
President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has said, the committee he set up to recommend an appropriate COVID-19 vaccine to the government has duly completed its work given the green light for his administration to begin purchase arrangements with the suitable vaccine manufacturer to help the county deal with the new variant of covid-19 in the second wave of the pandemic which has become deadlier.
