Four (4) Women and three (3) Men infected with Coronavirus have died increasing Ghana’s death toll to 129.
The ages of the deceased women range from 63 to 80 years. Apart from an 80-year-old woman who had no underlying health conditions, three others had diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and breast cancer.
The three deceased men with ages 39, 62 and 75 years also had comorbidity conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
Five of the deaths were recorded in the Ashanti Region while two recorded in Central Region.
This was contained in the latest update by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) Monday, July 6, 2020.
The GHS announced 992 new cases recorded increasing Ghana’s case count to 21,077.
These are the results of samples taken from the period between June 18 and July 1, 2020.
The number of recoveries and discharge has also increased to 16, 070 however Seven more deaths recorded increasing the death toll 129.
The active Coronavirus cases in the country are now 4,878.
