Wednesday, March 25, 2020, has been declared a national fasting and prayer day as part of spiritual measures against the coronavirus pandemic.
The President in his declaration said the day must be strictly observed by all Christians, Muslims, and other religious organizations in the country.
While outlining physical measures put in place to curb the menace, the President believed that the “battle belongs to God” and that fasting and praying to seek the mercies of God is one other means to find a lasting solution to the pandemic.
The president earlier on Thursday had a breakfast payer meeting with some selected Reverend Ministers at the Jubilee House.
He emphatically stated that there are obvious difficulties ahead of urging all and sundry to embrace them to face the difficult times ahead.
