Christians in Ghana have begun three days Fasting and Prayer to intercede for the Country as Coronavirus cases balloons.
Currently, the national tally of confirmed coronavirus cases stands 1154 with 9 deaths and 120 recoveries.
The 6:00am to 6:00pm daily fasting and Prayers beginning today April 24, 2020, was declared by the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council in conjunction with all other Ecumenical Councils.
A statement issued Sunday, April 19, 2020, and signed by President Of GPCC, Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong-Manso admonished
“Churches currently holding virtual Church Services should please bring this to the notice of their members. Details of the program will be communicated members by the close of day on Monday, 20th April 2020. This move is to mobilize the entire Ghanaian Christian Community in fasting and prayer for the entire world using Ghana as a point of contact. Get involved”
Chairman of the Church of Pentecost Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye on Thursday urged capable Christians to participate in the spiritual exercise cry unto God to prevent the pandemic from plunging the country into health crises.
Ghana observed a day of Fasting and Prayer on March 25, 2020.The exercise was declared by President of Ghana Akufo-Addo after the country’s coronavirus cases began to surge.
