The Ghana Health Service (GHS), is beginning its 7th National COVID-19 Vaccination Days (NaCVAD-7) from today, July 19, to Sunday, July 23, 2023, aiming to immunise about one million persons.
According to the Service, 10 million people out of the more than 30 million persons in the country have fully received the vaccines, with the rest yet to either vaccinate or undergo complete vaccination.
The Theme: “Protect Yourself, Protect Your Family Get Vaccinated Against Covid-19”.
The Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Health Director Forcal Person for Immunization Mr.Clement Baffour, highlighted the existence of the virus despite rumours that Covid-19 is no more.
He voiced out that the coronavirus (COVID-19) cases have been recorded in all the 9 districts in the Western North Region and Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal is leading the tally with 304 confirmed cases.
He explained that the virus was not in any way going to leave, and so it was prudent for the public to adhere to the social distancing protocols.
“We should never think the disease will leave, it will not leave the world, so there is the need to live a lifestyle to improve on our health, autoimmune system to be strong” he said.
A total of 4 persons have so far died through Covid-19 in Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality after recording over 304 cases.
Some residents of Bibiani who involved in today’s vaccination also shared with the media after the vaccination and encourage others to follow suit.
