Ghana has Recorded 17 new COVID-19 death in two days as cumulative death move from 1,052 to 1,069.
The new death cases were recorded on 31st August and 1st September 2021.
Active cases have increased from 6,940 to 6,971 as of 1st September 2021.
Ghana Health Service report indicates that 52 patients are in critical and 127 in severe condition.
Ghana has taken delivery of 1,229,620 doses of Moderna COVID -19 Vaccines from the United States (US) Government.
The donation was through the COVAX Facility and the largest shipment of COVID-19 vaccines received in Ghana.
The 1.2 million doses of Moderna will increase the range of COVID-19 vaccines available to Ghana and boost efforts at protecting more people from Coronavirus.
Additional 1.3 million Pfizer vaccines were expected in the country by the end of September.
