The Food and Drugs Authority, FDA, has reportedly approved Kingdom Garlic Capsule as an immune Booster supplement for the fight against coronavirus.
The Chief Executive Officer of Kingdom Group, Jonathan Amofa confirmed this in a Facebook post-Monday night that “KINGDOM Garlic capsules have been approved by the researchers on COVID 19.is to support the immune systems.”
This comes days after the FDA ordered the recall of COA-FS food supplement from the market Stating that it has identified E.Coli contaminants in some of the samples. This was when manufacturers of COA-FS have come out in the media that the supplement could help boost the immune system of Covid-19 patients to facilitate their recoveries.
Manufacturers of COA FS drug, Centre of Awareness Global Peace Mission, have meanwhile, challenged claims by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) that their product is unwholesome for public consumption.
Ghana has recorded 5,127 confirmed cases of coronavirus with recoveries remain at 494 with another 130 patients awaiting their second negative test to be declared recovered. 22 people have so far died from the killer bug with active cases at 4,611.
