The Minister of Trade and Industries, Alan Kojo Kyeremanten has commended traditional authorities for cherishing culture as it is a foundation of every nation.
According to the Minister, culture has intrinsic value and provides important social and economic benefits to every nation.
He said that culture enhances quality of life and increases overall well-being for both individuals and communities.
Delivering a speech at the fund raising ceremony toward the completion of phase one of a new palace project by Effiduase traditional council, the Minister lauded traditional leaders for playing a significant role by dissolving disputes among citizens in the country.
The Minister also donated Ghc20,000.00 to enable the completion of phase one of the new palace project, and help the council to receive guests in the jurisdiction.
The Minister extolled Okoawia Dwomo Baabu II, Effiduasehene who doubles as a Nifahene of New Juaben Traditional Area for the construction of a new palace to promote a culture of transparency in the region.
The Minister averred that chieftaincy is in line with construction of palaces as the Ashantes culture solely depended on chieftaincy.
