Minister for Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development, Mr Dan Botwe, has said that the current New Patriotic Party government led by President Akufo-Addo doesn’t discriminate.
According to him, the government and people of Volta still valued their chiefs and citizens, and “this government will continue to distribute all the needed resources to all, regardless of what is happening around us as a country.”
As part of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-two-day Addo’s regional visit, Mr Botwe made the comments in a brief speech to the chiefs and residents of Battor during the inauguration of a new district court in the Volta Region’s North Tongu District.
He made it clear that the NPP government would not send projects to areas that were known to have supported the NPP exclusively.
“The Government is distributing the resources of the country everywhere and making sure that there is no discrimination,” he said.
According to Mr Botwe, the President will be able to learn about the difficulties faced by Ghanaians in both the public and private sectors as well as the current state of the nation’s ongoing projects.
In order to effectively deliver justice, President Akufo-Addo and his entourage later dedicated an ultramodern District Court facility at Battor.
The President’s tour also brought him to Kpeve, Kpando, Ho, and Aflao, where he visited finished projects like the Community Senior High School in Aflao and looked over some that were still under construction.
