Ing. Dr. Worlanyo Kwadjo Siabi, Chief Executive Officer of the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) addressed the media on the transformation in the Rural Communities and Small Towns Wash Sub-sector last Sunday afternoon.
He provided updates on a number of water projects including; the €11.5million 5 Districts Water Supply Project phase 3 in the Volta Region, GhC34million 3 Districts Water Project in the Greater Accra Region and the GhC8.4million Water Project in Kweiman, Damfa and other projects in Ejura, Mim and Yeji.
He also elaborated on the US$41.5million Sustainable Rural Water and Sanitation Project which has achieved the following in 11 regions, that is; provision of 21,776 house hold toilets for 947 open defecation free communities.
Again, Ing. Dr. Worlanyo Kwadjo Siabi talked about provision of 248 boreholes in the Upper West region, 28 small town pipes and water systems as well as GWCL pipelines extended to over 100 communities across the country.
