Residents of Afienya in the Ningo – Prampram District of the Greater Accra Region are complaining bitterly about the bad state of a bridge in the community.
The road is said to be a threat to the safety of pregnant women as well as nursing mothers due to its bumpy nature.
According to road users coming from Aflao, Ada, Dawanya and its environs lamented over the bad nature of the bridge which poses a serious threat to road users.
Residents indicated to the reporter that, they have not set eyes on the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Sam George after winning the 2016 general elections.
The disgruntled residents, however, appealed to the government to fix the poor road network to ease transportation in the area.
“It’s almost a year now when the bridge collapsed, and nothing has been done about it. Almost half of the bridge has been closed for now, and drivers are using the other half, which is dangerous”.
“We are suffering from dust due to the nature of the road, we have been speaking to authorities but it seems it has yielded no result so far” residents retreated.
