The District Chief Executive for Okere Daniel Kenneth says the Member of Parliament for the Area Dan Kwaku Botwe is not dead contrary to false information trending on social media.
“It has come to our notice the rumour circulating that Hon. Daniel Botwe, MP for Okere Constituency is dead.
I wish to inform the general public that this news is false and should be treated with all the contempt it deserves.
Hon Daniel Botwe is fine by God’s Grace and has been discharged today Saturday, 4th July 2020 around 1pm.
“I wish to implore all concerned persons not to be alarmed and that he’s home with his family.” A statement issued Saturday evening said.
The statement added however that “Let us all continue to offer prayers of good health and long life for him.”
“We are also very grateful for all loved ones and genuine persons for their prayers and show of concern.
Thank you for your attention.”
Dan Botwe and Mathew Opoku Prempeh – Education Minister both stated that they were at UGMC Hospital awaiting their Covid-19 results after admitted over ill health.
After almost two weeks, nothing has been heard about their condition neither have they been seen nor heard discharging their normal duties given room to speculations that they may have tested Positive for Coronavirus and battling for their lives.
