The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Michael Okyere Baafi has said that Hon.Dan Botwe, MP for Okere is his political mentor.
According to Mr.Okyere Baafi, the experienced senior colleague in Parliament style of politics is worth emulating.
He said, his humbleness, commitment to humanity and development as well as patriotism and indepth knowledge on national issues makes him stand out as one of the greatest politicians in Ghana.
Speaking on a local radio station in Koforidua, Mr. Baafi said he has learnt to realize that politics is about service to mankind in humility which he has imbued.
Michael Okyere Baafi was elected on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, in the 2020 parliamentary election which he won with 47,862 votes. He succeeded Dr. Mark Assibey Yeboah who was a lawmaker for the New Juaben South Constituency for 12 years.OkyereBaafi took office on January 7, 2021.
Mr.Okyere Baafi is currently implementing his vision dubbed “the new Koforidua Project” aim at changing the narrative in Koforidua.
The projects entails infrastructural development, enhancing quality education ,Job creation, tourism ,youth empowerment among others.
