Former Hearts of Oak defender Dan Quaye has urged the club fans to be patient after a slow start to the Ghana Premier League season.
The reigning Ghana league champions are without a win after three matches into the season.
They have shared spoils in their first three matches against Legon Cities, WAFA and Aduana Stars.
In an interview with Koforidua based Aben FM, he said, “It doesn’t matter who takes the lead during a race but there have been instances the first person always ends up being the last in a race. Last season Hearts didn’t start well but in the end, they won the league. I want the fans to be patient”
“I believe they are getting the match fitness after defeat to WAC of Morocco. The league started not long ago and I trust the confidence level of the players will improve from the fourth week. So the advice I will give to the fans is to exercise patience with the team and I believe things will change” he said.
Heart of Oak will travel to Obuasi to face Ashantigold in matchday 4 of the Ghana Premier League.
