Two(2) suspected armed robbers on motorbike have robbed a Forex Bureau owner who is also a Gold dealer of an amount of Ghc400,000 at Top Town, a surburb of Kasoa Amanfrom in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The unfortunate incident happened on Friday, December 28.
Alhaji Mumuni, Owner of the Business at Kasoa-Zongo revealed the suspects followed him from Kasoa-Zongo and robbed him at Top Town, a surburb of Amanfrom when he and his brother was on the their way to buy gold from a customer.
Speaking to Bryt FM News, Alhaji Mumuni indicated that, upon reaching a section of the road, these two robbers on motorbike stopped them, pulled out pistols and started firing warning shots.
He said, after failing to handover the bag to them, they started firing gunshots directly on them.
Alhaji Mumuni said, the bag contained Ghc250,000 cash and a gold worth Ghc150,000.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Essel who witnessed the incident speaking to Bryt FM News Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah, explained residents wanted to intervene but the suspects told them that, they are police officers.
