Ghana Digital Centres Limited (GDCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mudunuru Group to bring digital solutions to the various sectors of the economy and create jobs.
Below is the speech of Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, the CEO of Ghana Digital Centres Limited during the ceremony:
Thank you for your attendance at today’s MoU signing ceremony between GDCL and the Mudunuru Group from India on our comprehensive partnership for strategic engagements for the next two years. We are very delighted to have them on board as partners to help bring digital solutions to various sectors of the Ghanaian economy.
This MOU between the GDCL and the Mudunuru Group is an important collaboration in our efforts to make Ghana a digital jobs hub in line with the GDCL’s promise of Harnessing the digital potential of Ghana to promote Job Creation and Economic Development.
This MoU provides a framework for;
* A strategic partnership between the Parties for the purpose of providing effective capacity-building, technical assistance and support and other areas of cooperation.
* Providing the most comprehensive and high-quality technical assistance, partnership, and support in establishing Digital \ Virtual Schools co-located at GDCs offering Technical Skills Development and Capacity Building Programs to enable students and working professionals to get better placements and contribute to the national economy.
* Build an eco-system for empowering startups to scale faster by creating a strong network of stakeholders and prospective customers with robust go-to-market strategies.
* Foster global partnerships and alliances with reputed institutions
* Expand the network of Ghana Digital Centers Limited to other parts of Ghana at the Regional and Sub-Regional levels to enable students and working professionals from all over the country to gain access to the facilities and programs.
* Establish a joint compendium of relevant capacity-building and training programs to be made available for funding organizations in Ghana, India and other Multi-lateral organisations.
* Jointly explore opportunities in Ghana and other countries in Africa for offering consultation services and pursue/undertake Information & Communication Technology projects
The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions today symbolizes a partnership which we believe will add value to both GDCL and the Mudunuru Group and produce synergies that will result in achieving our shared goal of making Ghana a global digital solutions hub.
