The Akwamuhene, Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III, and the Standing Committee of the Akwamu Traditional Area convened a meeting with the Asuogyaman parliamentary candidates: both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The purpose of this gathering was to promote peaceful conduct ahead of the upcoming elections.
The traditional leaders urged the candidates to focus on their campaigns without engaging in activities that could provoke rivalry or unrest.
They also stressed the importance of guiding their supporters, particularly the youth, to avoid behaviours that could lead to violence or instability.
They emphasized the overarching principle of prioritizing Ghana’s peace, unity, and progress above any partisan agenda.
Akwamu is safeguarding the nation’s democratic process and ensuring a peaceful electoral environment.
