An Assistant priest of the Saint Mary’s Parish in Asamankese of the Catholic Diocese of Koforidua, Reverend Father Alloysious Ekow Mensah has called on Eligible voters for December Parliamentary and Presidential elections to consider candidates who are ready to serve the people and develop the Constituency and Nation.
He noted that the destiny of the Constituency and the Country shall be in the hands of leaders elected to govern, adding, the appointment of Member of Parliament and President is in the hands of the voter, therefore, voters must vote wisely for people who can do the work.
Speaking the theme” Render things that belong to Caesar, and God the things that are for God”, Reverend Father Alloysious Ekow Mensah called on Christians to participate in this year’s general elections and vote for competent leaders but should not abandon it for others to choose leaders for them.
He charged voters not to sell their civic responsibility, adding, “Don’t think of what you will get for yourself or what you have received from a candidate, think of the future of the Country, your Constituency and family and vote wisely, and don’t be induced before voting.
Father Ekow Mensah urged Christian to abide by rules, laws, and regulations of the country before, during, and after the election as well as COVID protocols.
The Reverend Father urged Christians to honor their Tax obligations and be truthful in payment as they do in their Churches for leaders to get money for developmental projects and payment of public sector workers.
