The Minister for Information, Honourable Fatimatu Abubakar, has called on journalists to maintain high standards of professionalism in their reporting, particularly as we approach the general elections.
She stressed the need for accuracy, emphasizing that responsible journalism can play a crucial role in reducing the spread of misinformation and disinformation during this critical time.
She made the remarks at the opening ceremony of a 2-day Capacity Building Workshop on election reporting organized by the Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) in Somanya.
The Minister applauded the association’s executives for the timely workshop and encouraged participants to take full advantage of the training to enhance their skills and ensure credible and ethical election coverage.
