A six (6) month-old baby has been found decomposing in a toilet facility at Sefwi Bekwai in Bibiani Anhwianso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.
The decomposing body of the baby was discovered in the toilet after some residents observed a pungent smell in the environment.
In an interview with Kwame Kontor Boateng on Lord FM, Sefwi Bekwai the toilet attendant stated the baby boy was found wrapped and dumped inside the toilet facility in its decomposing.
“The entire area was smelling bad so we decided to find the cause so when we searched we found out that on the female toilet, there was a polythene bag with pampering and other things so I asked a colleague who came and helped scavenge the polythene bags which we saw a decomposing baby in the bag”
According to the attendant, due to the incident, he has increased the lady’s toilet fee from Ghc50 to Ghc1 as punishment.
The body has been buried.
Meanwhile, Sefwi Bekwai Police Command has commenced a serious investigation into the matter.
