Paul Ansah, unsuccessful in his bid for parliamentary candidacy for the ruling New Patriotic Party in Asuogyaman , is deeply worried over his uncompleted projects in the constituency.
He is saddened that his aspiration to leverage political influence for accelerated development and prosperity in impoverished communities has been dashed.
Paul Ansah expresses a fervent hope and prayer for the continuity and completion of 45 projects initiated across Asuogyaman, spanning community centers, clinics, teachers’ bungalows, toilet facilities, water projects, police stations, and electricity initiatives, and the Mpakadan Railway and Port project.
He acknowledging the support of faithful friends, team members, and religious leaders in his campaign, Ansah emphasizes the importance of preventing these projects from languishing.
“Now I only hope and pray that the 45 projects I brought from various agencies to almost every community in Asuogyaman will be continued and completed. The community centres, clinics, teachers bungalow, toilet facilities, water projects, police station, electricity projects and above all the Mpakadan Railway and Port project. They must not be left to rot in the bushes” Paul Ansah said in a Facebook post Tuesday December 5,2023.
The hope of Paul Ansah to be re-elected parliamentary candidate for the NPP after failed attempt in 2020 hit a snag on December 2 during the NPP parliamentary primaries.
Pius Enam Hadzide ,CEO of National Youth Authority polled 423 votes to win the parliamentary candidacy, beating
Michael Ansah ,CEO of GIADEC who secured 113 votes,while Paul Ansah Former CEO of Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority garnered 131 votes.
Nana Abrokwa ,Administrator of National Premix Fuel Secretariat, polled 95 votes.
Pius Enam Hadzide face off with incumbent opposition NDC Member of Parliament Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko.
Hon.Thomas Ampem Nyarko made history in 2020 when he became the first MP in Asuogyaman to be re-elected consecutively having defeated the NPP candidate, Paul Ansah.
He polled 24,439 votes to beat his main contender, Mr Paul Asare Ansah of the New Patriotic Party, a former Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Habours Authority (GHAPOHA), who also bagged 23,201 votes in the tight contest.
