Delegation from the Ministry of Health, Ethiopia visited the Ejisu Municipal Health Directorate on Tuesday, one of the municipalities in Ghana that piloted the Community Scorecard in 2019.
The Municipal Director, Ms. Josephine Ahorsu, welcomed the team and expressed her deepest appreciation for choosing Ejisu Municipality as the place to learn about the Community Scorecard.
The team then visited the Ejisu Municipal Hospital and met with the facility’s management, led by the Medical Superintendent, Dr. Isaac Asenso Brobbey.
He outlined some of the impacts the Community Scorecard had on improving service delivery at the hospital, such as continuous engagement with opinion leaders through the hospital advisory boards, regular renewal of NHIS and HEFRA accreditation.
Again, he spoke about the provision of suggestion boxes at strategic points within the facility to gather feedback and resolve issues as quickly as they arise.
