The STAR-Ghana Foundation paid a courtesy call on Ransford Owusu Boakye, the newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of New Juaben South Municipality, at his office in Koforidua. The delegation, led by Eunice Racheal Agbenadzi, Head of Programmes, and Raymond Danso, Right to Services Manager, congratulated the MCE and discussed strategic collaborations on youth empowerment and civic engagement.
The meeting highlighted progress on the Koforidua Initiative—a joint effort by STAR-Ghana Foundation, the Metropolitan Assembly, and Fondation Botnar, aimed at enhancing youth participation in local governance. Discussions covered ongoing community dialogues, youth-focused workshops, and the formal presentation of the Youth Manifesto to the MCE.
A key announcement was the upcoming visit of the Fondation Botnar Board to New Juaben South to assess and strengthen the initiative’s impact. MCE Ransford Owusu Boakye reaffirmed his commitment to advancing youth development and promoting environmental sustainability within the municipality.
