The Eastern Regional Health Directorate has recorded 45 Cumulative numbed of confirmed cases of Dengue Fever as at 17th July 2024.
Total number of districts with confirmed cases is now five and they are; Birim Central, Achiase, Akyemansa,Birim
South, and Birim North.
Number of new Positive cases recorded as at 17/07/2024 stands at 34.
Total number of districts with suspected cases as a is now ten and they are;
Birim Central, Birim South,Achiase,Akyemansa, Birim North,New
Juaben South, Lower Manya Krobo, Fanteakwa North, Abuakwa North and Kwaebibirem.
Unfortunately,one Health Service Worker is affected with the Fever.
Statistics released by the Regional Health Directorate indicated that Cumulative suspected cases is 229
•Cumulative lab results received is 138
•Total positive lab results –45
•Total negative lab results –93
•Total lab results pending- 91
Any person with acute febrile illness of 2-7 days duration with 2 or more of the following: headache, retroorbital pain, myalgia, arthralgia, rash, hemorrhagic
manifestations, leucopenia are to report to the nearest Health Facility for treatment.
