The Deputy Minister of Finance, Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko has urged the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and other religious organizations to support the government implement its programs and policies to reset Ghana to path of growth and economic prosperity.
Hon. Ampem mentioned that the government is putting several measure in place to make easy for citizens. He expressed hope that the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and other churches will take advantage of the initiatives of the government to help in developing the nation.
“I pledge, with God’s help and your continued prayers, not to disappoint the Presbytery. In this new role, I am committed to serving the people of Ghana with diligence, humility, and integrity. I will work closely and loyally with my Minister, Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, to ensure that the Ministry of Finance upholds the highest standards of discipline, transparency, and accountability in managing the nation’s finances”.
Hon. Ampem Nyarko who is also the Member of Parliament for the Asuogyaman Constituency and a congregant at the Friedrich Monninger Congregation in Akosombo, was addressing delegates at the 32nd Volta Presbytery Session at Anum on the second day of the Session.
Recounting his early life as a Children Service, Junior Youth and the Young People’s Guild, Hon. Ampem Nyarko expressed gratitude to the leadership of the church for great nurturing he has received from the church. He urged the church to continually partner with the government in the development of Ghana
The Volta Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Felix Akresu-Anim Danso thanked Hon. Ampem Nyarko for honouring the invitation to address Session and pledged the church’s support to the government. He also led delegates to pray for the Minister and his encourage.
