The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources in charge of Lands and Forestry, Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio on April 20, 2023 paid a working visit to the Afram Bunkunaw Shelter belt Forest Reserve, in the Somanya District of the Eastern Region.
The visit was to familiarize himself with the Reserve, which is a concession of CIMAF Ghana Ltd for the extraction of limestone for the production of Cement.
The Deputy Minister was accompanied by the Technical Directors of Forestry and Mines and other officials of the District Forestry Office and CIMAF Ghana Ltd.
CIMAF is a Cement company located in the Free Zones enclave.
