The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, responsible for Lands and Forestry, Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio has on Thursday, 27th April, 2023, led a delegation from the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources (MLNR) and Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) to inspect the ongoing construction complex being built for DVLA.
Hon. Benito revealed that 6 acres of lands are being used for the construction and currently at a 70-80% progress of work, assuring that the construction will be done this year August, 2023.
Speaking to the DVLA CEO, Mr. Kwasi Agyeman Busia said that they are satisfied with the progress of work so far but was quick to add that there is a lot to be done especially with the roads as DVLA is customer centered.
He opined that they will appreciate it if the Lands Ministry and Feeder Roads ensure that the road is done before or after their relocation.
Mr. Busia said, their visit therefore was to ensure that recommendations made by them will be implemented and all set for the buildings to be handed over to the officials.
Mr. Frank Davies who is the Board Chairman of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) said he is impressed work is progressing as expected and hopeful that the project completion is a success.
He concluded with the high expectation that the deadline for the completion will be met.
