The Public Relations Officer of the Ho Municipal Education Office in the Volta Region, Mr. Bruce Senam has called on members and leaders of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) to destroy the crippling monster of partisan politics in the Association.
He said Leaders of GNAT should continue to collaborate with the Government to plan for the Country’s Education system but should not let their profession and Neutrality be compromised.
Speaking at the sixth Quadrennial and 53rd District Delegates conference in Asamankese by the West Akyem branch of GNAT, Mr. Bruce Senam also called for the Leveraging on Technology to make GNAT more creative and attractive to change the Demographic of membership to know them accordingly.
The G.E.S P.R.O, who doubles as Secretary for Ghana National Association of Writers in Volta Region said, to continue to make GNAT a reliable labor union and remain vibrant and relevant, there should be active in leadership and Accountability which has been a major concern of members in the Association.
He also called for the improvement of Communication which is the lifeblood of every organization and noted that leaders have woefully failed in Information management.
Mr. Senam moreover called on leaders of GNAT to open their doors to all members to build confidence and stressed the need for leaders to be Innovative and Network the Association systems and structures.
