In an effort to remain relevant in the accountant profession, the President for International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), Asmaa Resmouki has called on members of the chartered accountant to develop technological skills for their job.
According to her, ethics and professionalism are critical for chartered accountants and are essential for building and maintaining the trust of clients.
Asmaa Resmouki explained that technological skills with professionalism produce high-quality work for establishing a strong reputation within the industry.
Asmaa Resmouki affirmed that the institute must maintain its highest standards of competencies, integrity and excellence.
Sena Dake, President for Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana, has stated that over 1700 participants with 364 institutions have participated at the 2024 accountants’ week celebration in Koforidua.
Sena Dake said that the celebration took discussion of topics relating to business, technology, public financial management, accountancy practice and standard, many others to improve the condition of its members.
Speaking to the press during the 2024 Accountants’ Week Celebration at Capital View Hotel, Sena Dake stated that the institute has worked hard in strengthening the competence of its members to produce professional accountants of the highest quality in the accountancy profession.
She continued that the conference has highlighted the inclusivity and diversity adding that they are focusing on specialized career interest mainly on technology which includes data analytic, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and robotics.
Sena Dake said that their vision is to strive at all times to achieve excellence through continuous improvement, benchmarking, research, technology, knowledge and expertise in various fields and services provision to clients, members and students.
The 2024 Accountants’ Conference formally opened at Capital View Hotel, Koforidua under the theme, Building a Sustainable, Resilient and Adaptable Accountancy Profession.
Journal of Accounting, Auditing, Tax and Management (JAATM) was launched amidst the celebration.
Members also embarked on tours to three different locations including Safari Valley, Bonsu Eco Park and Dodi Princess.
