Atta Kodua, a member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Eastern Regional Communication Team, talked about how digitalization—such as email and WhatsApp—is making traditional letter writing less common and how little is known about the Ghana Post.
Mr. Kodua made this remark during an interview with Kwamina Sam Biney on Bryt FM’s Adekye Mu Nsem, on October 9, 2024.
He discussed how they used to correspond with pen pals who lived outside of their home country and how many of their friends were missionaries. As a result, he received a Bible and his Muslim friend received a Quran from Saudi Arabia and other Islamic nations.
They benefited from this since it improved their writing abilities and they received gifts.
Mr. Kodua added that the publicity of Ghana post is very low and so people having the perception that Ghana post is only for posting letters meanwhile they post anything at all and where ever it’s going to.
“For them to be up again , they need to make noise for it, advertising, and this will help people know what they do “.
“Advertising will even help people to get jobs, drivers will also benefit from it because the more the work comes, the more they demand for dispatch riders ,“ he stated.
