Legendary Ghana goalkeeper Edward Dodoo Ankrah has advised Black Stars coach Chris Hughton to be on top of his job in order to succeed.
Hughton was unveiled on Monday as Ghana coach at the SG Mall in Kumasi and will be in charge of the Black Stars until December 2024.
Reacting to Hughton’s appointment, the 89-year-old said, “Chris Hughton must be on top of his job, he must be faithful, true and after all he must stick to his job as a coach and not listen to outsiders”.
His first assignment is against Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday in the AFCON qualifiers.
Dodoo Ankrah won two AFCON titles with the Black Stars team. He played a key role when Ghana won the 1963 and 1965 AFCON titles.
