Nana Akuamoah Boateng, the chief of Donkorkrom, praised MTN Ghana for its commitment to stakeholder engagement in underprivileged communities as part of efforts to eliminate the digital access gap and improve customer experience in the country.
Nana Akuamoah Boateng explained how stakeholder involvement provides residents with awareness about digital tools and mobile money safety precautions. He stated that it improves digital and financial inclusion for rural and isolated populations, as well as services that simplify their daily life.

Nana Akuamoah Boateng made this assertion during the MTN Ghana’s community engagement in Donkorkrom in the Eastern Region which aimed at empowering residents with knowledge on digital tools and mobile money safety measures.
He disclosed that MTN Ghana is the first time a corporate organization recognized his community with engagement with community members and solicit feedback on its services. Nana Akuamoah therefore urged MTN Ghana to continue to strengthen the relationship with residents in Donkorkrom.

Madam Georgina Fiagbenu, Corporate Communications Senior Manager of MTN Ghana, stated that “Our visit to Donkorkrom demonstrates our commitment to serving all customers, particularly those in historically underserved locations.
The event focused on digital and financial inclusion for rural and remote populations, as well as services that would make their lives easier. It provided residents with critical information about how to avoid MoMo scam.

In addition to asking questions about the network and its products and services, the community members actively participated in the forum and learned how to recognize and steer clear of MoMo frauds. The team at MTN stressed the value of consumer awareness.
Additionally, they introduced the participants to digital technologies that would help them with daily duties and business operations.
