The Priest in charge of the Saint Mary’s Catholic Church-Asamankese Parish in the Diocese of Koforidua, Very Reverend Father James Buah-Nkwantabisa has charged Christians not to abandon work and spend full day for prayers but must act as well.
According to him, Christians should find ways to balance Christianity and work and avoid hypocrisy because it is the greatest sin.
Speaking to his congregation at Asamankese, Very Reverend Father James Buah-Nkwantabisa said “if am a manager of any company and my staff abandon work for full day prayers, I will sack the person. Don’t spend the whole day in prayer camp because you are broke, find a job to do because no manner will fall from heaven. Whenever I pass by Achimota Forest, I see people spending working hours for prayers which I see as funny.”
He stressed the need for Christians to have enough time to rest after work to refresh the body and mind in the night and stop stressing themselves for long hour’s daily prayers and charged them not to be like the hypocrite during prayers.
Father James Buah-Nkwantabisa said there is no need for Christians to mix love with hypocrisy because hypocrites are pretenders, inconsistent, contradictory, and complacent, and frequently play blame games.
