Veteran actor, Fred Amugi has sent a word of caution to the youths across the country not to be deceived by the chicken change politicians will give them in order for them to cause riots as the election is approaching.
According to him, this is the time the youth should love and stay together and by so doing he believes no politician can influence them if they stay united.
Mr Amugi said this during an interview on CTV’s breakfast show ‘Anopa Dwabirem’.
His advice came after supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) rioted in the principal streets of Jamestown in the Greater Accra Region.
In his own words, Mr Amugi said “If there is a big man out there giving you some GHS50 or GHS20 and some weed for you to be high to hurt someone when you come back to your senses and realize you’ve hurt your own brother, what will you do?
“The Bible says: ‘Love thy neighbour as yourself’.
“You are one people living together in one area. Don’t allow two or three people or politics to divide you.
“Let me remind you that many of these politicians have their visas and air tickets ready, so, don’t allow yourselves to be used.”
