“It makes sense to have Stonebwoy in the running, but winning it is a different conversation,” the singer-songwriter shared with Prince Benjamin (PB) on Entertainment Capital on Accra 100.5 FM, Saturday, August 17.
“He definitely deserves to be in the mix. He’s already clinched the TGMAs Artiste of the Year trophy. But will he also take home the same accolade at the 3Music Awards?” Kojo Kinn questioned.
He pointed out, “While the TGMAs might lean one way, the 3Music Awards often goes another. I remember when Diana Hamilton won the top prize at the TGMAs, and the 3Music Awards gave their ultimate prize to KiDi—it seemed like they were trying to avoid simply copying each other.”
In his “close examination and review,” Kojo Kinn concluded that “the public shouldn’t be shocked if King Promise ends up with the Artiste of the Year/Most Valuable Player honor at the 3Music Awards this September 2024.”
