Embattled gormer NDC Central Regional Chairman Bernard Allotey Jacobs has issued a warning to Ghanaians about falling for political scam antics.
Since this is an election year, some candidates for president have already launched their campaigns.
The main focus of the campaign trips is the solicitation of votes from Ghanaians by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, John Dramani Mahama, the leader of the largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and other candidates.
In keeping with this, former President John Mahama pledged to Ghanaians on Monday, August 12, during the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Manifesto launch.
Among other things, Mr. Mahama said that if he were elected president once more, he would eliminate the double track system, create a free postsecondary education system, and facilitate easier access to student loans.
Allotey Jacobs cautioned against accepting Mahama’s assurances when speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” program.
He warned Ghanaians not to be manipulated by politicians since he didn’t think Mahama would follow through on his policies.
“Politicians look at us as being gullible to the extent that we have to accept anything and everything even when the thing is unrealistic,” he stated.
