The Gyaasehene of Akyem Traditional Council and the chief of Akyem Kwabeng in the Atiwa West District of the Eastern region, Daasebre Ayimadu Kantamanto I, has cautioned Ghanaians to stop pressuring Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to make a Stance on the fight against the activities of Lesbians, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex (LGBTQI+) and allow the chiefs and religious leaders to fight.
The Ghanaian media spectrum has been thrown with the discussion of LGBTQI after their office was allegedly opened at Tesano in the Ayawaso West Wuogon and Kwabenya in the Ga East Municipal of the Greater Accra region as they push for their legalization, a situation that has aggravated the call on the president to boldly come out and speak against.
Speaking to Dadi FM reporter Ekow Budu-Sam, Daasebre Ayimadu Kantamanto I, said there are traditional leaders and religious leaders to fight this matter than giving the president pressure to stop it adding that they are ready to stop them once and for all.
He said parliament should make laws to empower the chiefs to handle it because if anyone is punished the human rights advocates will start to attack them.
