These last days I have come to understand that we need to be cautious about how we judge people because of their looks.
Listen, people are naturally fashionable. They love fashion and if you’re not careful you’ll look at what they’ve worn and judge them as being spiritual or not spiritual enough.
I met a young man yesterday and my goodness what depth of knowledge of the word of God and what Grace he carries and what an amazing heart he has to get closer to God.
I sat there listening to him rightly divide the word and I was amazed. But hey this is a guy you’ll see him at first glance and you’ll go like who is this? He loves to wear his earrings and loves to dress good but this is a guy who says I just want to be close to God and forever worship him.
I’m sure he will read this and I say this positively to encourage him and others who are being lampooned, etc because of how fashionable they are. Hear me preacher, minister, church leader stop judging people with your cultural biases. The fact that in your culture certain fashion styles are considered off doesn’t mean the young girl in it is going to hell…
For all, you know God approves of her much more than you. Let’s be careful how we culturally profile people and make them candidates for hell…
The simple truth is the Gospel when preached transcends cultural and racial boundaries…
Colossians 2:16-17 Paul says do not let anyone judge you for what you eat or drink or for not celebrating some religious festivals, new moon or the sabbath… Then he continues to say these are a shadow of things that were to come however the reality is found in Christ Jesus the Lord…
So why do we do these things?
In 2022 be more open to serving God in the beauty of his holiness. Seek God’s approval at heart. Oh when you have sought his face and seen him in His beauty, no one will tell you don’t do this or do that. Love the Lord with all your heart and mind and soul. The rest when He comes he will complete it…
Blessings Afehyiapa!
