Former president and National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has been criticized by President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who claims that Mahama’s plan to run for office again is a sham to the people of Ghana.
Additionally, President Akufo-Addo advised Ghanaians to disregard the flagbearer of the NDC because he had nothing better to give.
He said that although Mr. John Dramani Mahama was offered the chance to lead the nation, he failed to seize it and erred due to his poor leadership style.
“The one who couldn’t do it has now come again saying he is a changed man so we should give him another opportunity. We gave you the opportunity, but you messed up; now you come to tell us that you are a changed person” President Akufo-Addo said this at Bantama earlier this week when he commissioned a Library in the constituency.
“You’ve not changed, it’s a deceit. You only want to deceive us but won’t allow that. We will only vote for people who have been tested and proven”, President Akufo-Addo lashed out at Mahama.
John Dramani of the NDC and Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia are the two front-runners for the 2024 election.
