Assembly Member for Mpasaso, Charles Asare has urged delegates in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to vote out the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party for abandoning road projects awarded to him by the government.
Speaking to the media he alleged that, Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has abandoned most road projects among others, which has induced resentment in many people.
Some of the abandoned road projects, Mr Asare said include; Mpasaso to Asuako road, Bayerebon road, and Amansie road among others.
The Assembly Member who is also Mpasaso No2 Primary “A” polling station organiser of the NPP noted that because of the abandoned road networks, he is not able to campaign for the party because residents are peeved.
Mr Asare alleged that he and other party members met with Chairman Wontumi and the Ashanti Regional Minister where he indicated he had imported more construction machines to construct the road networks but the roads have since not been constructed.
He, therefore, called on delegates in the region to show Chairman Wontumi an exit because his continuous stay in office will affect the party in the 2024 general election.
