Dr Kwame Addo Kuffour has been sworn-in as the first Chancellor of the Kumasi Technical University at a special ceremony in Kumasi.
The ceremony is the first of such investitures in any Technical University in the country.
In attendance was the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who did the swearing-in on behalf of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who could not be part of the event.
Also present were the former President, H. E John Agyekum Kuffour and other Ministers of State, traditional leaders and the clergy among others.
The Vice President lauded the Governing Council of the University for selecting Dr Addo Kuffour who is an astute academician and a medical practitioner.
His investiture follows the conversion of Polytechnics in the country into Technical Universities and according to the statutory obligation of the University, the Governing Council appointed him for the position.
