The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Dr. Mark Assibey-Yeboah on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, donated 4000 pieces of face masks, 240 pieces of soaps, 374 pieces of bottled hand sanitizer and 12 veronica Buckets to the New Juaben South Municipal Education Directorate to be distributed to final year Junior High and Senior High School students.
Mr. Boadi Sarpong who donated on behalf of the Lawmaker said “despite the election pressure Dr. Assibey Yeboah is more concerned about the safety of students resuming to continue their academic calendar therefore imperative that they get enough protective materials to protect themselves from being infected with Covid-19.”
Adwoa Armah Asante -Deputy Director of Education commended the Member of Parliament for his relentless support to education in the Municipality.
She said the MP has over the years put up and renovated some school buildings in the Municipality including the Municipal Education Directorate office.
New Juaben South Municipality has recorded 46 positive cases of coronavirus.
Before the Municipality recorded its first case, Dr. Mark Assibey-Yeboah had already presented Ghc20,000 Cheque and large quantities of personal Protective Equipment (PPE’s) to health facilities in the Constituency and hand hygiene facilities to drivers and market women to help to curb the spread to the regional capital.
The MP is still resolute in protecting his Constituents despite facing internal party election Saturday, June 20, 2020, to decide his fate as Parliamentary candidate for the 2020 election.
